J. M. Stitt Construction was challenged with satisfying local homeowners who were concerned with traffic and truck noise behind a local shopping center.

An existing 5' block wall was too low to adequately reduce traffic noise. The cost of replacing the existing wall with a 12' high block wall was cost prohibitive. The Sound Fighter LSE Wall System was built in front to the existing block wall to provide the additional height.

Utilizing LSE 1000, LSE 2000, LSE 3000 and custom cut panels, the contractor was able to negotiate underground utilities.

Once the foundations were set, a crew of 3 men were able to set 127 columns in 2 ½ days. The Sound Fighter panels were set in 2 ½ days.

The Sound Fighter LSE Wall System provided excellent noise abatement and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Location: Saint Marys, Ohio

Setex manufacturing received a letter from a neighbor asking what could be done to reduce truck noise. Trucks were pulling in and out of the loading dock area 24 hours a day. The back-up alarms and headlights created a constant nuisance for the neighbors.

The Sound Fighter LSE Wall System was color matched to the Setex’s existing metal building. Special mounting brackets allowed the LSE panels to be mounted directly above and existing block wall. The wall was extended to provide the noise abatement required to satisfy the local residents.
